The Project
Impressions from the project process
Simple connecting means and the compatibility of the VARIOKIT Engineering Construction Kit with the PERI UP Modular Scaffolding have facilitated safe access and working platforms in all areas.
One particular challenge during the formwork planning was taking into consideration the 130 cm high transverse ribs on each bridge segment.
Another requirement for the bridge formwork was the realization of a board-type structure for the concrete surface.
During the planning process, PERI specialists also had to take into consideration the suspension cables with which the segments are suspended on the pylons. At no time during the execution were they allowed to collide with the Balanced Cantilever Equipment.
The flexible VARIOKIT cantilevered construction solution ensured rapid progress for the construction of the individual superstructure segments. In December 2015, the work was due to take place on the final gap closure.
The Harpe Bru bridge superstructure is being constructed using a total of 4 Balanced Cantilevered Carriages. It is the first extradosed bridge in Norway.

Construction Manager
The chosen solution of using VBC Balanced Cantilevered Carriages proved itself to be correct. Thanks to the high flexibility of the system, we could optimize our project so that the workload necessary to pour each segment was as short as possible. It also had a measurable influence on the assumed schedule.
